A Drought of Unanswered Prayer
When there is no Yes or No, there is a “Wait.”
Have you ever felt like you are in a 3-year drought? Like your prayers are not being answered? It’s been said, when there is no “yes” or “no,” there is a “wait.” Are you finding it hard to wait? You’re not alone. Waiting is difficult. However, waiting builds perseverance, and perseverance builds character, and character builds hope.
When Elijah was told by God that there would be a 3-year drought in the land, he responded with trust. He didn’t freak out, try to fix it, or figure things out — He trusted the promise of God. Was it hard? Yes! But during those 3 years of drought, God was working miracles for and through Elijah.
If you have found yourself in a drought of unanswered prayer, do what Elijah did and choose to trust God through it — and HE WILL work miracles on your behalf! ( 1 Kings 17-18).

Koinonia // Fellowship
We had a blessed time of fellowship during last week’s Koinonia!
We had a blessed time of fellowship during last week’s Koinonia! It’s always a blessing to take a break during our normal week, schedules, and routines and break bread with one another, celebrate all God is doing in each others’ lives, pray with our sisters in Christ, and be encouraged in the Word of God.
Don’t forget our Women’s Bible Study is on break until the New Year! Join us when we return in January as we continue our study through the Gospel of Mark!
Embracing a New Season
The Lord has been doing such a sweet work in our Widows Fellowship.
At our most recent widows brunch, we were blessed to gather for another morning of fellowship with our sweet widows. This time, we enjoyed a fall themed brunch and made beautiful flower bouquets together. Our very own Maria Anderson shared her testimony and about the new season of life the Lord has her in. Here's what she shared with us:
Embracing a New Season
Seasons come and go, and the Lord is in all of it. If you’re in a bad season, be encouraged that it will end. Being a widow is a badge of honor. We should be proud of the fact that we’ve endured what we’ve endured. And now we can encourage women in those things. It’s okay to feel pain because we know what comes after - joy. “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” Job 13:15
Be busy about your Father’s business and begin to ask God how he can use you where you are. You were born and created for a purpose, a calling. This story is exciting and the best part is we get to walk through it with the Lord. Walk boldly and confidently knowing God loves you. The enemy tried to steal everything away, but he did not succeed. Now you have a new identity. This is a new season, enjoy it, embrace it, and let the Lord work on your heart. “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Romans 5:3-4
